LED garden lighting is typically obtained with floor lamps, a macro-category of solutions that includes floor lamps, recessed spotlights, posts and other models of various shapes. These LED lighting devices are designed to withstand primarily weather, i.e. rain, frost and humidity (saltiness is a separate chapter that would require further study). The buyer who wishes to buy one or more accessories for the LED lighting in the garden, therefore, must check that the lamps have a good IP rating. This value, present in the package, certifies protection from dust and foreign bodies (first digit) and from water (second digit). The minimum value is zero, the maximum is 68, where 6 indicates complete protection from dust and 8 protection against the effects of submersion in water.
